Jay Freed, MD
Jay Freed, MD FAAP

Dr. Freed is a founding member of our practice and has been caring for the community’s children for more than 30 years. He started his training at Alfred University and then attended Chicago Medical School. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 1976 and has been a pillar of our medical community ever since. His interests in Pediatrics include Behavioral issues, specifically the Feingold diet and its role in Behavioral modification and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

When he isn’t caring for his patients Dr. Freed can either be found rooting for his beloved Giants and Yankees, on the golf course or chasing his seven grandchildren.

Dr. Freed spends most of his time split between the Holbrook and Riverhead offices.

Mitchell Kleinberg, MD
Mitchell Kleinberg, MD FAAP

Dr. Kleinberg has been with our practice since 1983 and has shared his special brand of caring since joining. His training began at Hobart College and then Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in NYC. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and started with Dr. Freed the next day. He is interested in allergy and asthma care and maintenance management.

With four children of his own, he can usually be found on the sidelines at a local soccer or baseball game, rooting on his favorite player.

Dr. Kleinberg usually works out of the Holbrook, Port Jefferson and Riverhead offices.

Robert Festa, MD
Robert Festa, MD FAAP (hematology / oncology)

Dr. Festa has been with the practice since 1992. He came out to us after years as a pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. His education started at Brooklyn College and then Downstate Medical Center. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx and Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He continues to see children with blood disorders and specializes in diagnosis and management of various forms of anemia.

He is an avid cyclist and, when not chasing his dogs or visiting his daughter in school, can be found on his beloved bicycle.

Dr. Festa is based out of our Shirley office.

Michael Nussbaum, MD
Michael Nussbaum, MD FAAP (adolescent med)

Dr. Nussbaum joined our practice in 1991 after years as an adolescent medicine specialist at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He attended the State University of New York at Buffalo and then Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. After finishing his residency in Pediatrics at Long Island Jewish Medical Center her went on to do a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine and proceeded to practice Adolescent Medicine as a member of the hospital staff, specializing in eating disorders. Although he made the move to private practice, he continues to see teenagers with medical and emotional issues, including but not limited to eating disorders. He recently welcomed his second grandchild and spends much of his free time, while not on the golf course, changing diapers and playing on the floor.

Dr. Nussbaum is primarily based out of our Port Jefferson office.

Jason Kronberg, DO
Jason Kronberg, DO FAAP (sports medicine)

Dr. Kronberg, who recently became partner in our practice, first started with us in 2002. He attended Binghamton University and then New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Schneider Children’s Hospital at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and went on to do a fellowship in Pediatric Sports Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital/Blythedale Children’s Hospital. He specializes in Pediatric Sports Medicine which includes exercise, training and injury prevention, sports nutrition and suppliments, concussion management and weight loss. He is also team physician for Sachem North High School. He recently became certified to prescribe Suboxone for outpatient treatment of opioid dependence.

When he’s not chasing his two young boys around he can be found building furniture, at the gym, cooking, biking or playing golf.

Dr. Kronberg splits his time between the Holbrook, Port Jefferson and Wading River offices.

Barbara Kolk-Seda, RPAC
Barbara Kolk-Seda has been a Physician Assistant for 17 years. She graduated from Touro College PA Program in 1993 and has worked full time in pediatrics ever since. She has worked in the Pediatric ICU, Surgical IC and is a Clinical Preceptor for Tour College PA Program. Mrs. Seda has three children that keep her quite busy, she likes to read, swim, and spend time with her family. In her spare time she is in the process of getting her masters in physician assistant education.
